Our sumo suits are around 150cm in height. They’re fully foam-padded, PVC-lined for hygiene, and easy to get in and out of, making them perfect for fast-paced match rotations. Cleaned and sanitised after every hire, they’re suitable for ages 10 and up and require a minimum setup space of 3.5m x 3.5m.

 

Sumo Suit Game Ideas & Rules

Once you’ve suited up, it’s time to hit the mat and battle it out! Our sumo suit hire comes with everything you need to create a fun and competitive arena – whether you’re running casual rounds with friends or a full-blown tournament.

 

Popular Game Formats:

  • Heats Tournament
    Competitors go head-to-head in elimination-style rounds. Winners advance until two finalists remain to wrestle for the title of Sumo Champion.
  • King of the Mat
    The winner of each match stays in the ring and takes on the next challenger. The last person standing is crowned the ultimate sumo warrior!
  • Team Battles

Basic Rules of the Ring:

  • – Players begin on opposite sides of the mat
  • – Win by pushing your opponent out of the circle or knocking them to the ground
  • – Matches are best of three rounds
  • – Shoes must be removed before entering the suit
  • – Helmets must be worn at all times
  • – Rough play or unsafe behaviour is not permitted

Supervisors can be included for school functions, large events or anywhere you’d like someone to run the matches and keep gameplay safe and fair.
